MXF（Material Exchange Format）は放送テレビが標準化したコンテナです。XDCAM や P2 カメラが録画し、ニュース編集室が番組素材を受け渡し、配信サーバーが取り込みます。映像・音声トラックに加えて、タイムコードや番組マーカー、権利情報といった構造化メタデータを運べる点が、素の MP4 にはない強みです。
